Over $4 million raised as PI/co-PI since 2000 on projects with Dr. Gregg Bluth and Prof. Bill Rose, with more than $ 0.9 million of that raised as PI since July 2003.
As PI/co-PI, I manage projects currently worth over $ 1.8 million. These include:
•Two King-Chavez-Parks Fellowships (worth a total of $ 130,000) to support (tuition, fees and stipend) two MS students, one of whom is continuing on to the PhD program)
•One Ford Fellowship for Minorities (worth $ 75,000 over three years)
•One Natural Science Foundation International Programs (Earth Sciences) grant to study SO2 and H2S emissions from Cerro Negro, Nicargua ($ 53,000)
•One Natural Science Foundation International Programs (Earth Sciences) grant to study plume dilution and speciation at Hawai'i ($ 51,000)
•One Natural Science Foundation EAR-IF (Earth Sciences: Instrumentation and Facilities) grant to build a UV imaging spectrometer ($49,000)
•Two National Aeronautics and Space Administration grant to develop multi-species algorithms for MODIS, ASTER and AIRS ($ 314,000) and map global SO2 emissions ($ 210, 617)
•One National Aeronautics and Space Administration grant to assist in the mitigation of natural disasters by timely dissemination of satellite data ($ 965, 000)
•Two GACS (Graduate Assistant Cost Share) accounts (worth $ 41,000)
•Five small travel and equipment grants from the Michigan Space Grant Consortium and Michigan Technological University (worth $ 36,000)
