About Us
The Volcanic Emissions Group at the University of Bristol and Michigan Technological University consists of 13 active members, 7 writing up and 13 alumni. We are interested in mitigating hazard from active volcanism through the detection, mapping and quantification of emitted products. These include primary products like ash, volcanogenic gases and aerosols and reworked tephra deposits that generate landslides and lahars and has been recently expanded to include desert dust.
